PyCon 2009 pre-sprint in NYC

Estimated time: 5 hours This project is closed: it is set as "won't be completed"

I know Clusterify is meant to be used for distributed collaboration, but I figured hey, why not? Is there anyone in the NYC area who would like to meet up for a "pre-Sprint" in anticipation for PyCon 2009 in Chicago? It would be a good way for people who are attending Pycon to meet each other before the conference. It would also be a good way to get a head start on one of the projects on the Pycon Sprint Projects page:

http://us.pycon.org/2009/sprints/projects/

Tools and Requirements

  • Python
  • Must be in the NYC metro area
  • Hopefully attending PyCon 2009 in late March

What day are you thinking? What times? I could likely do something in the evenings leading up to pycon, but I can't take off work for it.

After work hours are good for me. Perhaps a tentative schedule could be a kickoff on Monday, March 16 (starting 6-6:30pm) and then one follow-up on Thursday, March 19? This would be the week before Pycon.

OK, so it looks like I let us down for this clusterify. But justinlilly and psytek, are you guys at Pycon? Want to at least meet up at some point?

I'm going to be there tomorrow evening. I'm game for meeting up. No worries about missing out. I just realized this today and things have been crazy for me so I'm not sure what I could have done anyway.

Great! I'm staying with a friend in Chicago so I may not be able to meet up tomorrow evening, but let's try to meet up on Friday during the conference day.
